Opening Day pictures, May 2006

I can't believe I never posted a link to these, but it doesn't look like I did.
Opening Day is a Really Big Deal around Seattle, at least for the boating community. It's like fishing, where you're only supposed to boat while boating is in season, and Opening Day is the big celebration of the first official day of boating in a season.
Just kidding. :)
They have a rowing regatta and then a big parade of boats. Pretty fun to watch, all things considered.

Easter weekend skiing

It's been awhile, eh? Almost 3 weeks it looks like.
I realize I've fallen way behind in posting pictures and linking to them. I'll try to do one set a day till I'm done. The first set is the oldest one, which I just got around to posting (because I lost 'em :).
Easter weekend at Baker this year was absolutely epic. Possibly the best weekend of the year. Yes, in April. Un-crazy-believable.

Brett's new blog

Brett started another blog recently -- Brett on Stuff -- and has some great posts already.
Ultralight gear list -- I've definitely been reducing my weight over the last few years, but this takes it to a whole new level. I'd like to try getting serious about it someday.
Trip report: North Cascades loop -- Looks like a great loop hike off highway 542. Turns out we were about 6 miles from the trailhead (as the crow flies) on Saturday when we were up at Artist Point.
