MCFHA's new boat

After the Seahawks game on Sunday, a bunch of us piled into Steve and Laura’s boat to visit Andy’s new boat. (We went by boat because we didn’t know if we could get into the shipyard by land on a Sunday.) If you look at the other pictures, you'll see it’s in two pieces -- the fly bridge and the rest of the hull.

This size of boat looks big in the water, but it looks absolutely massive when it’s on dry land. It’s hard to imagine it without actually seeing it in person. I felt a little like Tiny Elvis -- "Man, look at that there boat -- that sucker's *huge*!"

Check out the rest of the pictures.

Local.Live.Com

One of the cooler services I've seen lately is Windows Local Live -- this link should take you to a view of our house. Note the three-quarters perspective, different than most other services like this that only offer a true aerial picture (i.e. from straight up).

You can even spin the view around to see what something looks like from the north, south, east, and west -- see the upper left corner under road, aerial, and bird's eye. Click the compass rose to change views. The bummer part is once you spin it around, most pushpins you set up seem to move a little. Oh well, I'm sure it's just a bug. :)

10 Weeks to Torino

For some reason, it seems hard to believe the Winter Olypmics are right around the corner. I'm not that much into ski racing any more, but I've been following the World Cup a little more closely this year. OLN has a pretty cool "10 Weeks to Tornino" TV show and web site (where you'll find the TV schedule).

BTW, according to the web site, it's about 51 days to Torino as of today -- just over 7 weeks.
